Driver Profit FAQ

What does “estimated real profit” mean?

Your entered payout minus estimated vehicle costs. It is before income and payroll taxes, and it is not an accounting record.

Does this work for DoorDash, Uber Eats, Amazon Flex, Lyft, Spark, and other gigs?

Yes. Driver Profit is platform-neutral. It calculates from the payout, time, miles, and vehicle assumptions you enter.

Why include return or deadhead miles?

Unpaid miles still create vehicle cost. Add only return or repositioning miles that are not already included in your pickup-to-drop-off estimate.

What vehicle costs are included?

Fuel or electricity, maintenance, tires, depreciation, and an editable “Other” rate. Tolls, parking, taxes, and fixed costs are excluded; you can convert them to a per-mile estimate before adding them to “Other.”

Is this the same as the IRS mileage rate?

No. This is an estimate of your actual vehicle cost based on your assumptions. It is not a tax deduction calculation.

Are my earnings or vehicle details stored or sent?

Calculations stay in your browser. The site may save only vehicle assumptions and your target rate on this device so you do not have to re-enter them.
